Skoda has revealed pricing and specifications for its facelifted 2025 Kamiq range.

The old four-variant range has been replaced by a trimmed-back two-variant line-up, which now kicks off with the base Select from $32,890 before on-road costs, with a nationwide drive-away price of $33,990.

This is $1000 more expensive than the outgoing base Kamiq, but Skoda says there’s an additional $2500 worth of specification now added as standard to the 2025 Select.

The Select is only offered with a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder 85TSI engine producing 85kW/200Nm mated to a seven-speed dual clutch driving the front wheels.

Standard equipment includes keyless entry and push-button start, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch digital dash with an 8.25-inch multimedia touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a rear-view camera, power folding and heated wing mirrors with an auto-dimming rear-vision mirror, a leather steering wheel, cloth seat trim with manual adjustment, as well as LED headlights and tail-lights.

Additionally, the Select can be equipped with the ‘Signature’ option pack at an additional $4200. The Signature pack adds the otherwise missing adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist with lane guidance, and park assist features to the safety suite, as well as 18-inch alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, a 10.25-inch digital dashboard, LED ambient lighting, carpet floor mats, and upgraded vehicle alarm system. Aesthetically it adds chrome exterior highlights and an alternate black theme for the interior with synthetic suede highlights.

The top-spec Monte Carlo now starts from $42,690 before-on-roads, offered with a drive-away price of $44,990. It is the same price as the outgoing top-spec Signature grade and $1500 more expensive than the previous Monte Carlo, although it adds what Skoda says is $3000 worth of additional specification over the Signature.

The Monte Carlo is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder 110TSI engine producing 110kW/250Nm also mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic driving the front wheels.

Standard equipment includes upgraded ‘matrix’ LED headlights, large 18-inch alloy wheels, the alternate ‘sport chassis control’ suspension, a 9.2-inch multimedia touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital dash, a 10-speaker premium audio system, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and sport front seats with integrated headrests and power adjust for the driver. The exterior gains contrast black trims, while the interior is trimmed in cloth with carbon-look soft-touch highlights.

Interestingly for 2025 wireless phone charging, rear heated seats, and voice control for the multimedia system has been removed from the Kamiq range, although the USB-C power output has been upped to 45W.

Elsewhere the Kamiq continues to score Skoda’s ‘simply clever’ touches like an umbrella integrated into the driver’s door, a ticket holder on the windscreen, phone pockets on the backs of the front seats, and an integrated funnel for the washer reservoir.

Fuel consumption is rated at 5.5L/100km for the 85TSI engine in the Select, or 5.6L/100km for the 110TSI engine in the Monte Carlo.

It continues to offer 400 litres of boot space, and Skoda is still the only European brand to offer a seven-year and unlimited kilometre warranty. Servicing is cheapest when purchased as a pre-paid pack, priced at $2650 for the full seven-year warranty period, amounting to $379 a year. The brand stressed that it also offers a guaranteed future value program unlike many of its competitors.

Skoda sales are down 25.7 per cent year-on-year, but the brand promises a refresh across almost its entire line-up and the arrival of its first BEV, the Enyaq, in the next 12 months.

Next will be an updated version of its Corolla-sized Scala hatchback, followed by the Octavia sedan and wagon, as well as the Enyaq before the end of 2024. 2025 will also see the introduction of the next-gen Superb sedan and wagon and strong-selling Kodiaq upper mid-size SUV.
