In a time when it feels like there's a new Chinese brand setting its sights on Australia every other week, premium brand Zeekr has all but confirmed its Australian plans.
The brand, under the Geely Holding Group umbrella, is a sibling company to the likes of Volvo and Polestar, as well as smaller brands like Lotus and Lynk & Co, but it focuses on high-end electric cars.
While no official statement has been made by the brand in terms of a local launch, a range of several Sydney-based job advertisements via LinkedIn point to an Australian outpost for Zeekr with product sales capabilities.

The advertised roles include Sales Manager, Aftersales Manager, Marketing Manager, plus executive roles such as Head of Sales and Head of Marketing, which strongly suggests the brand intends on building a significant Australian presence.
In particular, the Sydney-based Aftersales Manager role points to the brand intending on having Zeekr models that will need servicing locally.
CarsGuide has contacted Zeekr for direct confirmation from the brand's international media team.
With only a couple of models in its range for now, the models with the best chance of landing Down Under are the Zeekr 009 people mover, or potentially even the Zeekr 001 shooting brake.
Both are built on Geely's SEA1 platform, which, as proven by the likes of the Polestar 5, is capable of being built in right-hand drive.
The 009, closely related to the Volvo EM90 revealed in November last year, would rival the Lexus LM luxury people mover if it were to launch in Australia.
Timing and details for Zeekr's Australian launch are yet to be determined, but given applications for the advertised roles have closed, it shouldn't be far away.
