
Toyota Camry, Mazda6 and Honda Accord rival arrives with the final piece of Skoda's Octavia range falling into place

The final piece of Skoda’s updated Octavia model line-up has arrived in the form of the Sportline grade, which has taken its place between the entry level Select and sporty king of the range, the RS.
The Sportline sedan (liftback) has arrived with a drive-away price of $46,490, while the wagon is $47,990 drive-away. As for the rest of the updated Octavia range, the entry level Select is being offered for $41,490 drive-away for the sedan and $43,990 drive-away for the wagon; while the RS commands a drive-away price of $62,990 and $64,490 for the sedan and wagon respectively.
The standard features for the Select include 18-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, LED headlights, silver roof rails, and LED ambient lighting for the interior. There’s also dual-zone climate control as standard, plus push-button start, rear door sun blinds for the sedan, a 10-inch digital driver’s instrument cluster, a larger 13-inch media display, plus wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

New features for the updated Sportline include 19-inch black Draconis alloy wheels, Matrix LED adaptive headlights, progressive steering and heated front seats.
The Sportline gains all of the Select’s features but also comes standard with proximity unlocking, leatherette upholstery, aluminium finish pedals, sports seats and a glossy black design treatment to the grille, roof rails and other exterior elements.

The RS gains the Sportline’s features and adds its own 19-inch Elias alloy wheels, a Canton sound system, digital radio, auto parking, three-zone climate control, power front seats with massage function and a heated steering wheel.
Powering both the select and Sporltine is the 110TSI engine, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol making 110kW and 250Nm, with drive going to the front wheels through an eight speed automatic transmission.
The RS meanwhile is powered by the 195TSI engine, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four cylinder turbo-petrol producing 195kW and 370Nm, with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
