Wagons deluxe! Skoda supply improves across 2023 Skoda Kamiq, Karoq, Octavia and Kodiaq to highest point since 2021

Supply is finally meeting demand for Skoda's product line-up, with the Australian arm of the Czech brand announcing the biggest influx of cars since the middle of the pandemic.

More than 1000 Skodas, with figures weighted towards its biggest sellers, are due to arrive in showrooms over the very near future, with the brand calling it the "largest stock intake to the country since the middle of 2021".

Skoda is bringing more than 300 Kamiq small SUVs, 200 Kodiaq large SUVs and 150 Karoq medium SUVs to Australia, with those three representing three of the brand's most popular four models.

Selling better than the Kodiaq so far this year is the brand's hero car for many, the Octavia, which is coming in 115 wagons and 60 liftback-style sedans to match the heavy preference for the wagon shape among Skoda customers.

On top of that, 100 Scala small hatchbacks, about 90 Superb liftbacks and wagons, and 40 Fabia light hatchbacks are on the way.

Selling better than the Kodiaq so far this year is the brand’s hero car for many, the Octavia.

Skoda's National Sales and Planning Manager, Kieran Merrigan, says there's a surge of interest in the brand thanks to the introduction of a seven-year warranty and seven-year servicing and roadside assistance on Scala, Kamiq and Karoq until June 30.

"For the first time in two years, this latest intake of Skoda models can finally meet the strong demand in the market for these products," Merrigan said.

So far this year until the end of April (May's figures are soon to be released), Skoda has sold 2466 cars, with 622 Kamiqs and 541 Karoqs making up a large portion.

Skoda is bringing more than 200 Kodiaq large SUVs.

A total 474 Octavias have been sold, heavily weighted towards wagons by about 2:1 if the latest influx figures are any indication of sales split, while 423 Kodiaq SUVs have sold.

The Scala has shifted 172 units, the smaller Fabia 141, while the plush Superb has just 93 sales to its name.
