Mini Aceman E 2025 review: snapshot

EXPERT RATING

Mini's Aceman E kicks off the new range that effectively replaced the Mini Clubman line-up at $51,990. Roughly the same size as the Cooper five-door, the Aceman's distinguishing feature is its all-electric driveline.

Mini's Aceman E kicks off the new range that effectively replaced the Mini Clubman line-up at $51,990. Roughly the same size as the Cooper five-door, the Aceman's distinguishing feature is its all-electric driveline.

A five-door, five-seat body with SUV styling has been kept to just over 4.0m in length, and retains lots of retro styling cues to tap into the Mini legend.

Inside, the E gets cloth seats, but has lots of standard equipment including dual-zone climate control, augmented reality navigation, a sunroof, digital radio and alloy wheels.

Environmental concerns are tackled by the Aceman using recycled interior trim materials and even recycled aluminium in its wheels.

Power comes from a 135kW electric motor driving the front wheels. The claimed range is 310km and charging form an 11kW outlet will take about four hours, 15 minutes.

Safety levels are high with the latest driver aids and nine airbags including a centre airbag. The Aceman has not been crash tested, but other Mini variants have scored five safety stars in European testing.
