The Porsche Macan is available from $93,800 to $184,400 for the 2025 SUV across a range of models.
Launching in mid-2014, the Macan mid-size SUV quickly became Porsche's most popular model, surpassing the already-established Cayenne large crossover and iconic 911 sports car.
Available initially with a range of six-cylinder engines, the line-up would eventually grow to incorporate new variants such as a price-leading four pot and performance-honed GTS.
Refreshed in early 2019, the facelifted Macan range was available just in two flavours at launch, with current prices ranging from $93,800 for the Macan (base) to $184,400 for the Macan Electric Turbo.
No longer available with a diesel engine, the petrol-only range kicks off with a 185kW/370Nm 2.0-litre four cylinder and tops out with the 260kW/480Nm 3.0-litre V6 S.
Though exterior styling only changed slightly with the update, Porsche tweaked suspension and NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) settings, while also adding bigger brakes to the S variant.
Standard equipment includes an upgrade 11.0-inch multimedia screen, 19-inch wheels, three-zone climate control and power-operated tailgate.
In terms of safety, the Macan is fitted with a tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlights, reversing camera, surround-view monitor, cruise control and lane departure warning.

Better to buy a Macan S or GTS?
The Macan is a great car that easily earns The Tick from me. In your case, I would go for the GTS because it's a smart package of equipment and it should also do better on resale as people are generally not prepared to pay extra for optional equipment.
