I wrote to you recently regarding the dashboard on my 2006 Nissan Patrol bubbling and you advised me to approach the dealer where I purchased the vehicle brand new. The service manager was most helpful and inspected the bubbling and also made the comment that it was an issue with this model and no fault of my own. When he approached Nissan he was told they could not help me, as this issue should have been resolved within six years of the car's manufacture. My issue is that the bubbling began earlier this year, which is closer to seven years. I told him I believed they had a responsibility to replace the dash top as it was a well-known manufacturing fault but he maintained that Nissan's response was as he had said. I have followed your advice to no avail, where do we go from here now?

28 Jun 2013Your car is seven years old and you have to accept there will be some deterioration in that time, but if you feel strongly enough about it seek the help of your consumer affairs people.
