We have had our 2011 Nissan Dualis x2 just 16 months and the driver's seat is wearing in one corner at the back. Our dealer agreed that it should be replaced, but Nissan refused, saying it was just wear and tear. We had a Commodore for 12 years and that had no wear on the seat. Nissan told me the same thing when I called them, do you think I should chase it further or let it go?

1 Feb 2013Take a close look to see if you can determine why it is wearing out so fast. Do you sit close to the wheel and brush against the seat back as you get in and out of the car? A simple thing like rolling the seat back before you get out can avoid rubbing against the seat. Of course you then have to reset the seat when you get back in, and that's inconvenient, but it might be a solution. By all means tackle Nissan over it; the seat shouldn't be wearing as rapidly as it seems to be.
