Very soon after we purchased a 2011 Subaru Forester X automatic it developed a heavy drone, so you hear every gear change on accelerating. Subaru said it was the transmission and transferred a unit from a new vehicle, but the noise was still there. Subaru claim it's the air induction into motor and refuse to do anymore about it. I'm very disappointed with the vehicle.

16 Sep 2012I would ask the dealer to demonstrate that it is an induction noise, if necessary by driving other vehicles, which should have the same noise if he is correct.
