I'm currently helping my father look for a car to replace an older one. I spotted a 2014 Audi A4 Quattro with about 16,000 km on the odometer with one service at about the 11,000 km mark. I believe it’s been a repossession. Is there anything to note when buying repossessed cars in general? Also, when looking at its details on Vicroads the car’s registration is listed as cancelled, so does it require a roadworthy certificate, etc. to have the car be re-registered?

10 Jul 2017Check the status of the car on the Vicroads website. Providing there is nothing untoward about it, no money owing on it etc., there shouldn’t be any problem. If the registration has been cancelled it will require a current roadworthy certificate to reregister it.
