Asked by John Auger
The original tyres on our 1999 Holden Barina were 165/70 R13 and pressures were 35 psi front and 32 psi rear. Our tyres are now 195/50 R15 and the tyre fitters recommend 36 psi all round. What should they be?
Answered by CarsGuide
3 Aug 2011Tyre fitters will often recommend higher tyre pressures as it can improve the handling, but 36 psi would seem too high, particularly in a little car like the Barina. I would run them at 30-32 psi front and rear.
