Toyota HiLux 1994: Exhaust fumes entering cabin

Asked by Evan

Exhaust fumes are entering my 1994 Toyota Hilux. The exhaust seems fine, but the manifold appears to have a crack in it. No exhaust fumes were found around the manifold when it was checked. What do you think?

It could be a cracked manifold or a leaking gasket, but either way I would expect that you could hear it. I would expect it to be worse when the engine is hot, so take it for a drive and get it nice and hot and then check it again.
