Honda CR-V 2008: Air conditioning issue
Asked by Raf.
We recently bought a 2008 Honda CRV from a private seller. It has done 110,000 km and has a full service history with a NSW Honda dealer. That history is showing three air-conditioning repairs between March and August 2010, and there are now issues with the air-conditioning again. A Victorian Honda dealer has offered no help or any goodwill gestures to cover part of a potential $3000 repair bill. Considering the later model CRVs are known for air-conditioning compressor failures, do you think the Honda dealer should have been more helpful?

10 May 2011It’s a used car out of warranty. I’m not surprised the dealer is showing no interest. I would approach Honda direct and ask for help given the past history of the car, but I wouldn’t hold my breath about getting any assistance.
