Is it possible, and if so would it cost much more to replace a Toyota Landcruiser 80-Series turbo-diesel motor with what I think is the better 100-Series turbo-diesel motor. Does it fit straight in or are different engine mounts and other adapters required? Does Repco or anyone similar do an exchange system for this?

23 Jun 2010It can be done without too much difficulty, the biggest problems you could have is with the wiring loom and perhaps the heater hoses. I don’t believe anyone does a simple exchange deal, but someone like the APS Service Centre in Melbourne could handle it for you.
