From new, my 2010 Toyota Prado 150 series GX 3.0 turbo-diesel has cut out negotiating roundabouts, making U turns, turning left or right, going up hills, and now when in slow traffic and I go to change lanes it hesitates before taking off. My dealership says it is normal for these vehicles as the computer is deciding what gear it needs to be in. My opinion is that the problem is dangerous, and I need it fixed.

19 Apr 2011The dealer is incompetent, and lazy. Contact Toyota’s customer assistance people and report your experience, with the car, and with the dealer, as they need to be hauled over the coals. There is something wrong with your car and, you’re right, it needs to be fixed. If the dealer and Toyota say it can’t be fixed, which I seriously doubt they will, park it on the dealer’s forecourt and ask for your money back.
