Asked by Mr Fertile
AFTER being blessed with three children under the age of three, I need to update my ute to a dual-cab with the capability of installing three baby seats. The Nissan Navara has these, but I'm also looking at a Toyota HiLux and Mitsubishi Triton. Can it be done in the latter two dual-cabs, who does it, and is an engineering certificate needed?
Answered by CarsGuide
14 May 2009YES you can have extra child-seat restraints fitted to the HiLux and Triton dual-cabs, but it must be approved by an accredited engineer to satisfy the authorities. Contact your state registration authority and they will give you a list of accredited engineers who could do the work for you. In all honesty, however, buying the Navara is a better way to go.
