Recently the spring in the boot lid broke on my 10-year-old Honda Accord. I had it replaced at my Honda dealer, but it was no better and they said the second spring needed replacing. They did that, but it still did not work. Recently the lid fell, hitting me on the bridge of my nose. The next time I had it service I asked that they do something about it, but they told me they could not fix it and that it was a very heavy lid. Can you advise me what to do?

18 Mar 2011I'd take it to an independent Honda mechanic, one who specialises in the brand, and have him fix it. It sounds to me like the Honda dealer is giving you excuses in the hope you will go away.
