Burnt clutch on a Hyundai iMax

Asked by Stuart

One week after I had the front-end of my 2008 Hyundai iMax replaced a rack end parted causing damage. I attempted to drive the car to safety approx. one kilometre, but in doing so the clutch burnt. The supplier of the parts has repaired the damage caused by the rack end, but I got a bill for a clutch, which was $3000. Should I pay for the clutch, or should I approach the company who sold the rack end?

The damage to the clutch was caused by you driving it for a kilometre instead of immediately calling for a tow truck. I doubt that you would get anywhere with the supplier.
