I have not long purchased a 2010 Holden Colorado, which has done 72,000 km. Recently the clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed there. I pulled it back by hand but when I went to push it in again it was rock hard and the clutch was still disengaged. It went back to the seller's yard by tilt tray where they managed to get it to function correctly. On pulling off the inspection covers they ascertained that the clutch is brand new, and they are now pulling the gearbox out to try and find the problem. Prior to this occasionally the pedal was slow to follow your foot back up off the floor and the pedal had to be as good as all the way out before the clutch disengaged. Any suggestions?

5 Jun 2015On the surface it would seem that there is a problem with the clutch, it could be that the pressure plate has collapsed or something similar. Pulling the gearbox out should enable the mechanics to find the cause of the problem.
