Holden Cruze: Engine failure

Asked by Jeff Schaper

My 2010 Holden Cruze has a serious fault where the engine will cut out while you are driving on the highway. The Holden dealer I bought it from keeps saying the car is ok and within spec, but it obviously isn't. Who can I take the car for an independent assessment?

I wouldn't recommend you take it anywhere but the dealer. It's still under warranty and the dealer and Holden are the ones to fix it. I would take it back and tell them you believe it to be dangerous to drive and refuse to take it away until it's fixed.
