Mazda 6 2014: Dislike engine stop/start
Asked by Barbara Ward
I love my 2014 Mazda6 and enjoy driving it, except for the fuel saving very irritating stop-start function. I find this very irritating and I know it can be temporarily turned off but when I asked the Mazda dealer said it could not if it could be permanently disabled. the answer was no. Who Do you know who of anyone that can disable this feature? I understand it is a computer rather than a mechanical device.

22 Dec 2014Stop-start is part of the engine management package and key to the car's fuel economy rating. That's why it's the default and why it can't be totally disabled.
