Dual-fuel Ghia won't start

Asked by James Halim

My dual-fuel 2003 Fairmont Ghia won't start when the engine is warm, but will when it?s cold or hot. When warm it'll crank, but won't start. I have changed the air filter, fitted new spark plugs, fuel filter, injectors and cleaned the throttle inside and out. Ford said the fuel pressure dropped and they suspected that the injectors were leaking and flooding the engine, but replacing them didn?t have any effect. It drives normally and only has starting problem when it's warm. Any ideas?

Leaking injectors is a relatively common problem when the kays get up a bit, so check that again, but also check the fuel pressure relief valve to make sure it’s functioning correctly.
