My trouble-free 2009 Toyota Aurion has been an easy car to own. I reckon, it’s a bit underrated. I wasn’t ever a white goods-on-wheels Camry fan but the Aurion has really surprised me. I like the 200kW V6. Soon I’ll be looking for a new car. Practicality rules out a hot hatch, so I’m comparing the Focus Trend and Cerato Si, both 2.0-litre. I prefer a manual, the Kia has a six-speed, and both seem to have good suspension setups.

4 Aug 2014The Kia gets The Tick from me, because it’s better value but also because of the excellent suspension work done by Aussie guru and Carsguide friend Graeme Gambold.
