I READ in Carsguide that Nissan says none of its vehicles produced before 2004 is compatible with E10 ethanol-blended petrol. I have a 2001 Nissan Pulsar and was wondering if it would be able to use E5 petrol?
Answered by CarsGuide
3 Feb 2006I WOULD have no concern about running your car on E5, or E10 for that matter. The amount of ethanol is so small it won't cause you any trouble. Nissan is being cautious. It doesn't want to open itself to claims later if owners have a problem.
