I'm looking to downsize from a Toyota Prado. I want a used car, no older than 2010, with low kays, and I was hoping to only pay $15,000. I've been looking at a Subaru Liberty, and was wondering about the VW Golf wagon and similar models from Kia. We travel on country highways and byways. What do you suggest?

20 Mar 2015You might just be able to buy a 2010 Subaru Liberty wagon for $15,000, more likely you would have to settle for a 2009 model. The Liberty is a good choice. I would be wary of suggesting the Golf wagon, servicing is relatively expensive and you need to be careful when choosing your car to ensure there are no hidden bugs that might prove expensive down the track. The Kia Sportage is certainly worth a look and should fit within your budget.
