I’m searching for a first car and my budget is $20,000 max. I don’t want a tiny hatchback that everyone seems to be driving now; I want a large sedan or SUV. I'd like it to be good city car in small places, but it also has to be able to take the corners of country roads when I go looking for waves. I would hope my car has a fairly nice interior as well. So far I have been looking at a Holden Commodore SV6, but I’m not sold because of the high price even when buying second hand. What would you suggest?

18 Dec 2015It comes down to the age of the car. A 2010 VE SV6 could be bought for less than $20,000 and it will do everything you want. If you want a later model then perhaps look for a less expensive model. A regular Commodore will do everything you want, it just won’t have the badges.
