Asked by Trevor Fischer
THERE has been some correspondence regarding the 3.0-litre engine in the Nissan Patrol 4WD. I am keen to purchase one, but not if there is no satisfactory explanation of the problems.
Answered by CarsGuide
27 May 2004EARLY GU Patrols with the 3.0-litre turbo diesel experienced some lubrication problems, and Nissan advised dealers the problem could be fixed by increasing the oil level in the sump. There have been no further reports of problems, but contact your Nissan dealer for more information.
