My 2010 Holden Barina has developed a rattling noise in the transmission, mainly evident in first and second gears. Noise disappears as you speed up and move up the gears. Drives well with no vibration. Any ideas? Am I up for a new gearbox?

22 Mar 2019It could be a number of things, bearings being one, but I would suggest you have a mechanic drive it to tell you with more certainty. I doubt you would need a new gearbox.
