Asked by Shaye
I recently purchased a 2000 Holden Barina Cabrio and have been told I need a new engine because the head gasket has blown. Does this mean I need a new engine?
Answered by CarsGuide
29 Dec 2011Normally you wouldn't need a new engine if the head gasket is leaking, you would replace the head gasket and machine the head, but if there is more damage it is possible you might need a replacement engine.
