My 2009 Holden Cruze recently had the transmission fail. I took the car to the dealer we purchased it from and was told it will cost $6000 to repair. The vehicle has done just over 200,000 km and has been very reliable. I have seen a lot on-line about the dreaded Cruze transmission and wonder if there is an avenue for the compensation, as this seems to be a regular problem. The car was bought second hand and has been regularly serviced by a dealer.

12 Jul 2019You could try for a goodwill payment from Holden, but I doubt that you would have any success. Your car is 10 years old, it’s done 200,000 km, and you bought it second hand.
