Holden Epica 2009: Ignition not working

Asked by Wade

My 2009 Holden Epica diesel ran perfectly fine until going for a long drive. I had pulled over for a stop at a café. When I tried to start it up again, the starter motor would crank the engine perfectly fine, but there was no ignition. This is the second occasion. Other than this, the engine would start up almost instantly. Any ideas?

As it is an intermittent problem it’s hard to be definitive, but I would suggest you look at the fuel system, and check for a faulty electrical connection that could affect the operation of the fuel pump or injectors.
