Honda Legend oil problem

Asked by Dermot Murphy

My 2006 Honda Legend has used 1.25 litres of engine oil in the 6000 km I have driven since I bought it five months ago. This would seem to be excessive, given that the car has only done 94,000 km and is in immaculate condition and the service history is spot on. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it, but I would be checking it regularly for signs that it is increasing, in which case I would then be taking it back to my dealer for action.
