I have a problem with the radio reception in my new Hyundai Elantra. I have terrible reception when listening to the local radio; I've even had a problem listening to 2GB in a metro area. The problem is so annoying that I asked for it to be checked when I put it in for a service. They said they couldn't hear the problem, but they were located just across the road from where the radio is broadcast. They also said that they didn't think there was anything I could do about it since the aerial is in the glass. Dissatisfied, I contacted Hyundai iCare, to which I have had no reply in the last 3 months. Do you have any suggestions?

31 May 2013Phone Hyundai and explain your problem to one of the customer assistance people. Radio reception does seem to be a problem with Hyundais, we have had quite a few owners reporting poor reception. To fix it I would recommend taking it to a radio specialist and perhaps have a new antenna fitted.
