Hyundai i30 paintwork

Asked by Mark Bailey

A friend of mine has a black Hyundai i30 that is only 10 months old, but has white calcium deposits all over it. She had a small repair done from a car park accident and the panel beater said it was just crappy paintwork. What do you recommend she do?

It's under warranty, so take it back to the dealer and have them deal with it. It could be that a cut and polish would sort it out. If you'd like an independent assessment check your local motor trades association and have them refer you to a paint specialist.
