I am contemplating purchasing a new Hyundai i30, either the Premium or the SR Premium. I do approximately 12,000 km per annum, a mixture of suburban and country driving, and occasionally tow a 6' x 4' trailer containing firewood. I was wondering whether the 1.6-litre turbo-diesel or the 1.6-litre turbo petrol would be better suited for this purpose?

9 Jun 2017Both would be suitable for your use, but the final decision should be based on how much country driving and towing you do. If it's mostly country then I would err towards the diesel, but if it’s more town or line ball I would go for the petrol engine.
