Mazda BT-50: Why is my stereo system taking so long to turn on?
Asked by Ken
I have a 2019 Mazda BT-50, the Alpine stereo system from new has times that it can take up to 5 minutes after engine start to even show the Mazda emblem on the screen. I have had the vehicle back to the dealer and they have replaced the wiring harness, the fuse, updated the software, but still the issue is there and I suggest getting worse. The car is now just one-year-old and only has 30,000 km on the clock. I feel there is something not right with the head unit, but Mazda will not entertain replacement of the unit to even check is the issue can be resolved with this solution. What could be causing the issue and how can it be fixed?

25 Oct 2019I agree the head unit would be a logical thing to check. Mazda has a responsibility to fix the problem, so put the onus on them to come up with a solution, and keep the pressure on them until they do.
