My 2001 Mitsubishi Magna has done 249,796, km and averages about 9.5 L/100 km, which is mostly freeway driving. Its fuel consumption is pretty high in my opinion, but whilst looking on online forums, it seems to be the norm with most Magna's. I know they are a thirsty V6, but is that considered normal? Also, why do they have such a low resale value? A lot of people have mentioned this to me, but cannot give me a reason as to why. I have owned two and find them quite a reliable vehicle. So maybe you can shed some light as to why?

14 Jun 2019Your consumption is about right for that model Magna. It’s a relatively large and heavy car with a big, powerful V6, and 2001 engine technology. They aren’t a popular car today; they don’t have the safety, economy, or appeal of other, newer cars.
