Asked by Michael Hoare
I recently purchased a new Toyota Aurion, which was fitted with alloy wheels, and was surprised to discover that the spare was a steel one and not an alloy one as I expected. Given that I bought the car for touring, is the vehicle safe to be driven a longish distance with this odd wheel fitted? And do I have any comeback on Toyota to obtain an alloy wheel for the spare?
Answered by CarsGuide
7 Apr 2011You don't have any comeback on Toyota to provide with a fifth alloy wheel, the Aurion is supplied with a steel wheel as a spare, as many cars are. It's a full-sized spare wheel with a full-sized tyre so there's no problem running it for as long as you need.
