Out Of Luck

Asked by Robert Deveros

THE ECU (electronic control unit) on my 2005 Mercedes-Benz A160 Elegance has failed and left me out of pocket by more than $5000. Mercedes told me to write for goodwill assistance, but I received a negative reply. What recourse do you think is available to me?

YOU really don't have any recourse; the car is out of warranty. You could seek legal action, but I doubt you'd have much luck.
