A message came up on the dashboard of my 2005 Holden Berlina saying check powertrain. On scanning it a mechanic said the problem was a 02-sensor heater circuit malfunction. I have observed while driving the car that the car heater gets started up automatically, so is this warning message related to this problem? What might be the issue?

25 Sep 2015Based on your mechanic's diagnosis it would seem that the oxygen (02) sensor is probably faulty and needs replacing. There is no connection with the car's heater. If there is a problem with the heater it's different one.
