Rattling Elantra

Asked by Trevor

There is a rattling noise in the rear of my 2007 Hyundai Elantra, which I have been told is the rear brake pads. The car has done 75,000 km and they still have heaps of meat on them. What can I do to stop this annoying rattle, apart from driving around with my foot slightly on the brake pedal?

Your mechanic could apply some anti-rattle grease to the back of the pads that could well stop the rattle.
