Replacement roof and bonnet on Jeep Cherokee

Asked by Bill Bright

My insurance company has said they will replace the roof and bonnet of my two-year-old hail-damaged Jeep Cherokee with new parts, strip the interior doors and tailgate and beat the dents out from the interior. The car will then be completely re-sprayed. Will the strength of the vehicle be reduced by replacing the roof?

No, there won't be any effect; if the repair is done properly it will be as strong as it was when it left the factory.
