Toyota HiLux 2006: New clutch only has one inch of clutch feel

Asked by Jeff Martin

I have replaced the clutch in my 2006 Toyota Hilux after 100,000km, but it only has about one inch of actual clutch feel about half way out and that?s it. The clutch shop said it is hydraulic and self adjusting, but after driving others they feel normal to me with about three inches of clutch feel, What do you think?

I would expect the new clutch to take up within a short distance from the floor and once it has there is no “feel” as such. It sounds normal to me.
