In September 2004 I bought a Nissan Patrol 3.0-litre Turbo Diesel and recently noticed small rust spots emerging under the paint. Have you heard of this occurring? I have heard of three. The dealer has fixed it, but when I got the car back there was still a spot on the roof. I'd been under the impression the whole roof was to be done, not individual spots. I now have to take the car back, but am reliant on the dealer supplying a loan car because, after a call to Nissan Australia, it was not interested, even though Nissan Australia approved the original warranty repair.

2 Nov 2007I HAVEN'T heard of rust spots as you report, but maybe our readers can help. Certainly you need to have the paint repaired and Nissan seems to be willing to come to the party.
