Shuddering Honda Jazz mark two

Asked by Patrick McEniry

Regarding the report of transmission problems with the Honda Jazz I can tell you that my 2007 Honda Jazz which developed a shudder when accelerating in low gear. On the recommendation of the Honda dealer the transmission was serviced and the oil was replaced, but there was no improvement. The oil was replaced twice more, but there was still no improvement. Following further discussion with Honda they agreed to replace the transmission at their cost, which has fully rectified the problem.

The first step is to service the transmission and change the oil, which appears to fix some, but with others the solution is to replace the transmission as was done on your car.
