A few years ago you gave me some very sound advice on a car purchase for my parents and you were spot-on and I could use your help once again. I'm in the market for a used small SUV/crossover vehicle and have a budget of around $23,000 and I'd prefer nothing older than three years with key criteria of reliability, ride/handling and comfort. I have done quite a bit of research and cannot make up my mind as there are quite a few options out there.

11 Jan 2016Putting ride-handling up against comfort will mean a compromise on one side, as sporty-feeling SUVs tend to be a bit harsh in the ride with tyre noise as well. The Mazda CX-5 is the benchmark in the class, but the Honda HR-V could be more comfortable and flexible in the cabin.
