Software solution

Asked by Linda Colla

I OWN a VYII HSV Clubsport fitted with the 4L65E auto from the GTS. It has developed an erratic shift pattern, and hunts through gears on full and partial throttle downshifts. A Holden dealer says this is normal. The dealer also acknowledged a similar problem had been encountered in the past, but was fixed in a software upgrade. My vehicle already has this upgrade. Is there a fix for my problem?

IT IS a well-known problem caused by the HSV calibration. The good news is there are people around who can edit the car's software and fix it for you. I recommend Mark at Dynomotive (03 9762 6500).
