Suitable replacement for Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Asked by Dean Butler

After five lower back surgeries I am after a car that would aid in comfort and was about to start looking at Landrovers.

I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I found it ultimately comfortable and the luxury exceptional, but it kept breaking down and spent many months over two years back at the dealer. I wont go near the Jeep brand again. I believe the Jeep's independent suspension helped in the spinal support and the Range Rovers have this. But they're a bit above my budget.

Currently I'm driving an Isuzu D-max X-runner, which was ok, but not now, as I've had two more surgeries. I tested a Kia Sorento Platinum and found that so much better. Do you think the Sorento is enough, or should I ultimately go for a second hand Range Rover? I'm just after some guidance.

Range Rovers are great, but they can be expensive to run and service.

I would strongly recommend the Sorento, particularly if you find it gives you the comfort and support you need.
