I own a 1994 VR Series 2 six-cylinder Commodore. It is non-ABS with a solid axle and standard suspension. If I were to upgrade to VT 295mm discs and run Monroe shocks for a better ride, will this make the car more responsive?

10 Jul 2003It's certainly worth upgrading your brakes to the later VT set-up. You will improve your braking performance. As far as the shocks go, it's worth fitting new ones. Shocks are a most important safety item in your suspension, and there could be ride benefits as well. I would suggest either Koni or Bilstein shocks, though they are more expensive than the Monroes.
