Toyota Land Cruiser vs Land Rover Defender

Asked by Zaib

I recently got my P-plates and I’m thinking of purchasing an off-roader, something I can take anywhere without any worry of terrain or condition and going on trips with. I was looking at cars priced under $20,000 such as some 2000 and under model Land Rover Defenders or LandCruisers. But I’m really confused about how each one is and if they are better than each other in some regards?

Both are perfect for what you want to do. The LandCruiser has a well-proven record, but it’s heavy and can be costly to run. The Defender, while also a proven off-roader, is more expensive the service and repair and there aren’t Land Rover dealers everywhere, like there are Toyota dealers.
